OVERALL: Draw
The Chinese release has the uncut version with the original Cantonese audio track in 5.1 but it's cropped and non-anamophic.
The US, Scandinavian and Australian releases have the slightly cut international version with an anamorphic transfer, but it uses the dubbed, re-scored audio track.
Differences between the original cut and the international cut can be found at Movie-Censorship. -
CUTS:
- R0 China- Thakral - No Cuts - Longer Asian version (101:49 NTSC).
- R1 America- Buena Vista Home Entertainment - No Cuts - Shorter International version (which excludes the 'final gag' from the original Hong Kong version as it was thought to be offensive) (102:23 NTSC).
- R2 France- DVDY - Yes - shorter international cut (96:47 PAL).
- R2 Germany- Ascot Elite Home Entertainment - Yes - shorter international cut (96:38 PAL).
- R2 Japan- Pioneer - No Cuts - Shorter International version (which excludes the 'final gag' from the original Hong Kong version as it was thought to be offensive).
- R2 Special Edition Japan- Warner Home Video - No Cuts - Both discs contain the shorter international version (which excludes the 'final gag' from the original Hong Kong version as it was thought to be offensive)
- R2 Scandinavia- Buena Vista Home Entertainment - No Cuts - Shorter International version (which excludes the 'final gag' from the original Hong Kong version as it was thought to be offensive) (98:14 PAL).
- R3 Hong Kong- Universe Laser and Video Co. Ltd. - No Cuts - Shorter International version (which excludes the 'final gag' from the original Hong Kong version as it was thought to be offensive) (100:53 NTSC).
- R3 Hong Kong- Warner Home Video - Yes - The film cuts off after the final fight and therefore is even shorter than the Buena Vista Region 1.
- R4 Australia- Buena Vista Home Entertainment - No Cuts - Shorter International version (which excludes the 'final gag' from the original Hong Kong version as it was thought to be offensive) (98:14 PAL).
