James Bond acknowledged in Sherlock?

Post by NewDeep »

‎Bond‬ acknowledged in the Cumberbatch BBC series ‪Sherlock‬ ?
---
Caught the final episode of season-3, Sherlock, yesterday.

Mycroft says "As my colleague is fond of remarking, this country sometimes needs a blunt instrument. Equally, it sometimes needs a dagger, a scalpel wielded with precision and without remorse. There will always come a time when we need Sherlock Holmes"

Is the "blunt instrument" remark a reference to James Bond and M? In both Bond books and Bond movies, M has been vocal about 007 being a blunt instrument.

It'd be best, and more than enough, if they release a limited collector's edition of all the titles (up to Skyfall) individually (once it's sold out, it's gone, no re-pressings) with the best original theatrical poster AND embossed slipcovers :drinking:
*N=New to collection :-D, U=Upgrade :), DD=Double Dipping , R=Replacement for damaged disc :-?

I get home two days after opening but considering my local cinema has over 100 showings in the first week, I doubt I'll be able to miss it.
