Yes, I can confirm stereo sound. I listened to it on my head phones and then set the output to mono, it is clearly in stereo

As I am unable to read Japanese and the menus on the disc are in Japanese only, so I am unable to tell you the difference, however I am posting a picture of the menu, just in case somebody else on this forum is able to read Japanese:
